    Never Never Ever Put This In the Dishwasher I have a few Dansk pots and pans, and I love them. Nothing cooks more evenly. Nothing is better for saut ing on the stove and then finishing in the oven. And, in most cases, they release food beautifully.HOWEVER:If you put one of these in the dishwasher, you will permanently dull the outer enamel finish. Seriously. Just one time and no more pretty pot or pan. It'll still work like a dream. It just won't look that nice anymore.And speaking of the finish: it chips. I bought a 6 quart in a different color from this one, and it came with a pretty big chip in it. The one I just bought was a scratch and dent special. There were no dents, and the one chip was less than the supposedly perfect one I bought previously.As far as the way they cook? These are heirloom quality. They forgive so much: overheating (I've never warped one), burning food onto them (just soak overnight with baking soda and dish soap), and even the dishwasher incident did not affect the finish on the cooking surface. But if you want them to stay looking nice, you have to respect them. The dishwasher is not the way to do that. 4Loved it until enamel simply came off on 5th or 6th use. I initially thought this was a great pot and was considering ordering a larger size. However, precisely 32 days after it arrived (and on about the 5th use), a big chunk of the enameling simply came off while I was cooking in it. The rest is unblemished as I've been extremely careful to follow the usage instructions. However, this pot is now unusable. Clearly, these are not built to the quality everyone talks about for the old ones. Amazon was kind enough to refund me despite the return period having expired, but I'm very disappointed with Kobenstyle. Buyer beware. 1Bad for pouring, but pretty to look at Very pretty, although the wood feels a bit cheap and light. I just bought this because I had an old no-brand enamel-on-steel pot like this one which needed replacing. However, this pot has one glaring flaw: the pour spout is useless. I've only used it to boil water for tea so far, and each time, no matter how fast or slow I pour, I get a puddle of boiling water on the table. If I were using it to pour melted butter, it would be even more of a hassle because I'd actually have to clean it up rather than just wipe with a towel. For such a pricey item (it is tiny, so the price is high for what you are getting), I would expect Dansk to have put a bit of thought into the pour spout, or at least just tried pouring liquid from it, once, before putting it into production. It seems like they haven't even bothered trying the design before selling it, otherwise they would have immediately noticed the problem. 3I love the design but I am so sad and disappointed ... This is my second purchase of this casserole. I received my first as a wedding gift, and sadly, a few months in, a giant chip in the enamel appeared. I contacted Lenox to inquire about the warranty, but they never responded to me. I gave in and purchased a replacement. Now, just a couple of months after the second purchase there is another chip in the enamel. I love the design but I am so sad and disappointed about the quality. I have only cleaned the pot by had with dish soap; no abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. So, so sad. 3Perfectly beautiful and heavy - oven to table. Such a beautiful piece, especially when it goes straight to the table for serving rice dishes. 5Received repeatedly damaged products Either quality control or quality of this product is abysmal. Received the first pot with a large chip out of the enamel on the handle, which appeared to be touched up with nail polish, and very dirty - possibly a previous floor display piece? The replacement had a dime-sized chip out of the enamel on the interior bottom. Not taking a third chance. Don't waste your money! 1This Brand is Wonderful! The Dansk brand has been around for a very long time and they continue to be a wonderful baking pan. They clean up easily, scratches are almost a non-issue, can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher and look amazing on the table. This is my second one, the first purchased 40 years ago and still going strong. Can't recommend this enough! 5Chips easily!!! interior chips way too easily. Have had for only a month and already has a large chip out of the bottom. We had this same pot bought 7 years ago and was much more durable. 1It's beautiful! This is a beautiful dish! I love that it can be used on the stovetop, in the oven and it's pretty enough to be used for serving or left on the counter for fruit. Also, I bought the warehouse deal for $17 which said it was in fair condition but it arrived ibn near perfect condition. I can't wait to use this for Thanksgiving. 5Great Paella Pan This is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be. Like, large pizza large. Bigger than my biggest frying pan large. I think maybe there have at different times been different sizes of the server sold on the same page. I got the big one.Which is fine. My husband and son are giants. Fill this thing with paella or chicken parm, and there still won't be any left for me.The pan is porcelain-clad steel. Solid and heavy. Cooks very evenly on the stove or in the oven. Mine came pre-chipped, so I won't need to worry about keeping it pristine. Happy with purchase. Would buy again. 4
