Customer Reviews

Terrible! Best cookware we've owned.***REVISION TO PREVIOUS REVIEW***I initially reviewed this cookware shortly after purchased, at which time they truly did exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, as you can see by the photos, the non-stick-ability is EXTREMELY limited. These are COMPLETE GARBAGE!! Absolutely everything sticks now. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, FRIED POTATOES (WHAT?!??!). DO NOT BUY!!! 1It will go from non-stick to super-stick no matter how careful you are I don't even usually write reviews, but I'm gonna make an exception for this.I followed instructions: never cooked over 350 degrees, always used plastic utensils, always soaked it afterward, I even cleaned the thing with the soft side of the sponge for the first few weeks. After a couple weeks of amazing non-stick performance, the surface turned into a nightmare to cook with. At this point, everything sticks to it, and I haven't had it for more than 2 months.People with positive reviews will accuse negative reviews of neglect when using the skillet. I'm here to tell you that I was aware of all the instructions, and made it a point to follow them to the letter, I treated this thing like my baby. If you buy this skillet, you will A) have to treat it more carefully than anything else you have in your kitchen B) regret buying it when it deteriorates within 2 months despite your best efforts. 1Would not recommended! Disappointed. I bought these to replace my teflon set and did a LOT of research before purchasing. I was finally happy to settle on ceramic which is not a health hazard to cook with and also easy to cook/clean with. This set looked great at first opening but after using for barely a couple months (and for very light cooking - eggs, pasta, soups) the ceramic is already chipping inside some of the pots and they have ugly stains from my flame on the bottom. 1Cookware I find I'm making more recipes with this cookware, so easy to clean and I don't have to use very much butter or EVOO. I didn't used to do fish at home in the past, now I have some beautiful cod that I steam with butter and lemon in minutes. I have browned things and the pan washes up easily and beautifully like new. I have made popcorn in the big pot, wow it holds a lot! Eggs are of course a breeze. Love this set. 5AMAZING!!!!! This is simply amazing. I love this set. After doing research on the harms of teflon, and etc.. I stumbled upon ceramic coating cookware. I have this set for almost a year and it's holding up very well! I love the color, and the even distribution of heat. Ive used them in the oven, and even in the dishwasher! My only compliant is be very careful with the ceramic coating on the inside. Even plastic utensils can scratch it. I suggest using only soft silicone when using this set. I would buy this again and recommend it to anyone! 5Loving It I ordered this pan after reading multiple reviews and searching for a non-stick pan that allows for healthy cooking. I've used this pan a total of 3 times and it is definitely very easy to clean. It's a very nice looking pan as well. The first time I applied a very small amount of butter to cook scrambled eggs and the eggs cooked beautifully and came right off the pan. The second time I browned some beef and applied a trivial amount of avocado oil before adding the beef. Again the pan worked beautifully and was easy to clean. On the third time I decided to not apply any form of butter or oil. I simply cracked the eggs and placed them in the pan. For the most part the eggs did not stick, but a little bit of egg residue was left in the pan. It was not enough to disappoint me and clean up was still easy. I've washed it in warm water with soap and that does the job! 5Great Pan - You Need One This is a really nice pan for the price. We bought a large set of this same Cuisinart cookware on closeout for almost nothing from the worlds largest retailer (so far - come on Amazon). Same stuff but it's black with the same white interior. It was for our winter home where very little cooking gets done. I figured we'd by some decent stuff later but after two years that's unlikely as this stuff is quite good.It actually turned out to be great. The non-stick interior really doesn't stick and the aluminum is thick enough there are no hot spots from the glass cooktop. This 3 quart pan I use to make chili so it got used at least once a week up until the Super Bowl. I brown the meat in the pan, pour the fat off, add everything else and simmer for a couple hours. Doesn't burn and cleanup is a breeze. The red is an interesting contrast with the cabinet full of black cookware. It has been used more than all the other pots and pans put together for the last two winters and still looks like new. 5Not a fan. I was skeptical when I bought these after reading some reviews. But thought maybe they were wrong. They're not. The white has all discolored even though I heat on low. And it does take FOREVER to heat on low. Not a fan of that! I bought all bamboo utensils so I wouldn't scratch it. But guess what ... it scratches anyway. It hasn't been a year and they look like they're 5 years old. The red "paint" definitely chips away. Most of the bottoms are showing metallic ... and I have a flat top stove. Can't imagine on gas or electric elements. So what the others said ... listen to them. I'm happy that I am not using nonstick cookware with cancer-causing PFOA. I will have to do more research and probably have to buy a more expensive set if I care about how long it holds up. We'll see when I finally throw these out. Which will probably be soon. If it's worth a year for you, go for it!! :) 3Wrong size!! False advertising... This skillet was 9 1/2 inches, not 10 inches as advertised, and as even shown on the insert with the skillet. See the picture below, with a tape measure, which clearly shows this skillet is not 10 inches.Cuisinart Elements Open Skillet, 10-Inch, Red 1When you can cook eggs without any spray or oil ... When I first bought these eggs slid right off, no oil needed, just as advertised, however about 8 months in, everything sticks so if you are looking for a long lasting non-stick pan these aren't it. I always cooked at no higher than med-med high, washed and wiped from sink never in dishwasher. Gonna try the cheap $30 T-Fal and see if they are better for only $30 (set of 2) everyone seems to like those it has almost 5 stars. 2
