Perfect water! We love this thing. Our tap water was at almost 300ppm. At least part of that was salt from the water softener the landlord has because we could taste it. Husband has high blood pressure and cats are sensitive to too much sodium in their diets so we had motivation right there. But the area is also surrounded by corn fields, so part of those ppm's were probably pesticide/herbicide. No matter.....our readings are now between 0 and 3 ppm!! We hooked this up to our washer faucet as we weren't about to drill into a marble counter top. Easy hookup for two all-thumbs people to do....and at a price we could afford!Update: Our tap water hit almost 1000 ppm. I have no idea what's floating in there and can't afford to get it tested. maybe the landlord will. Meanwhile, this filter has produced water in the lower single digits. Money well spent. 5Awesome. Great price and easy install. Came fully assembled and all I had to do was hook it up to the kitchen faucet for which an adapter was provided.Allowed to run its course on cold water for an hour to let the system purge air.TDS at tap 461. TDS after 2 days 0002.Water tastes great.I also noticed that the pH went up from 7. something to 9.Takes around 30 minutes to make a gallon but that depends on the water pressure.I would buy this again. 5I also ordered a longer hose for the good water to come out of so that I can ... I use this to make water for brewing beer. My apartment's water is relatively hard at over 240ppm, this RO machine gets it down to a stead 0-3PPM, I usually have to make 6-7gallons of RO water for brewing, so I do it over the course of 2 days (filling it up about 2-3 gallons at a time). It does take a bit of time to fill 1 gallon of water as it runs very slowly, but given how well it does, I can't complain. I also ordered a longer hose for the good water to come out of so that I can set the RO machine on the counter and the water jug on the ground. 5Been a year and bought replacement filters...great filter!! I bought this a year ago because I need RO water at near 0 ppm. This performs great for me. We have really bad water at 450 ppm here and I would almost use this for a saltwater fish tank (probably would need a polisher to use in a reef tank). I use a meter and this gets down to about 10ppm. I just needed something to keep from having to go to the water hut and fill bottles. This saved the hassle and also probably money. It is slow and has a lot of waste water but I just bucket that and throw it out the patio on the outdoor plants. I don't want anything that is permanent since working for a painter I have horror stories of those systems breaking and flooding overnight. This takes a little effort but worth it. The seller was great when contacting them and they gave me what I needed to use indoors on my sink and outdoors on a faucet. Used this for a year and happy enough to buy the replacement filters. Especially after seeing the particulate filter and how brown it has gotten over a year (see pic). That is a lot of nasty stuff I am glad did not end up in my body!! Tip: Add a twisty tie to the frame to hold the tubes and put the cheap plastic baggies around it to hold the water drips when not in use. Better yet the manufacturer should design it with a sleeve or something that accomplishes this. 5Happy The filter works as expected. I live in an apartment and wanted an easy install-able system. The setup took 10 mins. I also ordered TDS meter along with this and my water read 5-6 ppm for first few days. I retested the water after 3 weeks and it reads 0 ppm now. There is minor leak in the diverter though. I temporarily fixed it using a tape, but it still leaks few drops. It is not causing major trouble for now, but I would have given this unit 4.5 stars for its price. 5Excellent system!! LOVE this product!!! As a renter it is so nice to have a R/O system that can be easily installed and sit on top the counter top. We use this system everyday and have had it for almost 6 months. Works great, we can taste the difference in our water and were so happy to have this system as our town recently had contaminated water. I would highly recommend this system to anyone who wants an R/O system without having to drill into their countertop! 5Good deal, water taste great. Love the water filter and since I cannot have an under the sink unit because I rent my home this was an awesome find.It is slower than collecting maple sap, lol okay maybe not quite that slow it just feels like it.This unit has been a blessing no more horridly chlorine smelling/tasting water and far fewer stomach/abdominal cramps due to our areas poor water quality.I would give a higher star review but there were/are a couple issues. The attached inlet/waste/filtered water hoses are on my unit tangled together. The unit is still usable but it is frustrating when hoses are directed into each other. It limits the range of the filtered water outlet and positioning of water container. Filtered water hose is way too short. Unit leaks at some of the joints. This requires that I keep it in my already small kitchen sink when in use, which makes the already short filtered water hose even shorter.Additionally perhaps the manufacturer might want to consider adding a water pressure gage to these units intake valve since water pressure over I believe it was 45 lbs of pressure will blow out the valves thereby making the unit worthless.Over all I am very pleased with the purchase and will keep using it as well as ordering additional filters. I live in an area that had nuclear fall out as well as many other contaminants due to ranching/farming and well water here has heavy minerals and a sometimes foul sulfur odor.Now we have fracking...I wish this unit was put together a bit better so I could fill 5 gallon containers instead of only the 1/2 gallon and 1 gallon ones that fit in my sink.That said minor issues aside I would buy it all over again. This water filtration system has made a huge difference and is so much less expensive and less wasteful than buying bottled water at the store.Taste better than store bought water too. 3Cancel the Monthly Water Delivery So far so good. Just filtered my first 25 gallons (five bottles). Reduced particulates from 445 parts per million to less than 10 ppm. Less than two hours and thirty minutes per 5 gallon bottle. I tapped the water line under the bathroom sink (John Guest angle stop adapter valve under the sink, a few meters of 1/4" OD plastic pipe, and a quick connect valve at the filter end where I cut off the aerator). I washed and filled the bottles in the tub, with the filter on a small step stool and the waste water trickling away down the drain. Then the filter went into storage under the kitchen sink for another month. For the bottles I first use StarSan sanitizer as used by brewers. When full, I seal them with vacuum wine corks. Will the water stay fresh? Can't say yet. Replaced a $70 per month service. Bought the much better Primo cooler in place of one I had been renting. I make back the full investment just over four months. 5Excellent and rare deal. Super easy to install, portable, reliable. Fantastic deal. First of all, I am shocked countertop RO filters are so rare. Basically only Revolution and Apec make them. I have not tried the Apec one and not sure why it costs so much more even if it is only 4 stages. Probably just marketing?Anyway, this filter is installed with a minute, with zero tools.When I first started it, it leaked but then the leakage stopped just by wiggling a tube a little.My water, a week from usage, is 2 ppm (as read by HM TDS-EZ water tester - the purple tester that is the best seller water tester on amazon). My tap water without filtration is 114 ppm.The instructions were concise and clear. The packaging perfect. This company is clearly very reliable and takes their business very seriously. You can tell how professional they are from the instructions and packaging alone.The water tastes great. I can fill a large pitcher in 15 minutes.I attach a photo showing this filter along with my old one, an Aquasana, which I keep for pet water and for the water that goes into the air humidifiers. I was not happy with the Aquasana only because I wanted to filter out the fluoride as well, for my drinking water.Switching from one filter to the other (unscrewing and re-screwing the faucet) only takes a minute.I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend this RO filter. 5really good product. I recomend it. I really like it. Super easy to install in our apartment and can be removed at any time. Our tap water in So Cal was reading 550-600 range which is high, after installing it we were getting about 20 when measuring tds. after running a few gallons it seems to have settled under 8 tds. Flavor wise it tasted like the water you buy from a vending machine outside the grocery stores. There is a little bit of weird after taste however I had my wife do a blind taste test between this and bottled water and she consistently picked the bottled water as tasting "slightly funny" so it might be difficult to taste the difference. I added a 6th stage remineralizer which caused the tds to go up and that weird after taste disappeared so im happy. get the longest option for the tubing I got the short one and had to order a longer one so I can hide the unit better. if you can go for the bigger membrane as it will make refilling containers a lot faster. 5
