Absolutely WONDERFUL kitchen towels!Hello! I wanted to add my opinion of these great kitchen towels to the huge body of positive reviews, so here goes....I bought these towels long ago, when stocking my very first new-to-me home. They far exceeded my expectations then, and my view of them has remained very positive since. Since that time, I've moved three times, most notably 1.5 years ago when I bought a new condo as part of my downsizing time of life. It's a place that lets in copious amounts of light from all sides is outfitted with shiny brown and black granite counters set atop light brown maple counters/floors and boasting shiny stainless steel built-in appliances.Before this, I don't think I'd ever consciously choose such a color scheme but I grew to love it almost immediately. I purchased these kitchen towels in red to match condo-sized red small appliances with which I gifted myself (which were a big departure from the big family-sized appliances of my previous home). Always a fan of plenty of kitchen linens, I also bought these towels in brown and green. I'm here today for the same towels in black -- because they're THAT good!I *love* these towels! They hold up forever, it seems, washer-load through washer-load. They pick up everything wet or moist, and definitely do the job when I use them as washcloths on my counters or to wipe moisture from inside my sink or off the range. And they always -- always -- look good, whether new or much, much older.I recommend them without reservation, and with a lot of enthusiasm. 5Really Thin!I ordered these based on all the rave reviews.Maybe I received a different product, but these were disappointingly thin.Thinner than the decades old towels that I was replacing.Maybe I'm just too picky but I have I learned my lesson and will only buy hand towels that I can actually feel first.They are the sized advertised, nicely rectangular and the edges all seem to be nicely sewn hems. 3Terrible and more terriblel!!!!!!Worst towels ever! I have washed them in vinegar so many times and they still have a coating of some sort on them! They do not absorb water and do not work no matter how many times I wash them. Total wast of money! 1Needs better quality controlI purchase a large quantity of these for machine embroidery. Overall, I am happy with the towels given the price per towel but the manufacturer seriously needs to improve their quality control. At least one towel per pack is usually stained or has a different color thread piece woven into the towel. Sometimes I can pull the thread out with tweezers but not always. This is especially frustrating when I did not notice the issue on my first inspection and have already completed the embroidery work. Again, overall I am happy with the product but would encourage the manufacturer to exercise better inspection before packaging the towels. 3Took embroidery very well.I bought these towels to embroider on. They stitched out beautifully. They are absorbant and wash up nicely with minimal shrinkage. I also like that they have a decent binding. Once embroidered, they make a nice finished product; no need to do more. I will definitely purchase these again. 5NOT absorbantThe claim of "absorbent" is greatly misleading -- water beads up on the surface and slowly seeps in. After many repeated washings, the absorbency improved, but the towels shed a lot on other items and look worn. The sole plus in this product is that it is black, which makes staining less obvious. I'd return them, but it's too much trouble. 1Does not shrink after washThis is the third wash and no shrinkage , did not use bleach just detergent and oxiclean , worth the money , I bought the white ones they are bright and strong 5Just what I was looking for!I am kinda OCD and like all my sets of towels to match. Including sheets, bath towels, and until recently all my kitchen towels were mismatched. And I wanted them to all match. But I wanted GOOD kitchen towels as my last set I purchased at Costco of all places were horrible and not absorbing at all. So I searched and searched for the perfect kitchen towel. I read reviews on tons of towels and wanted quality! So I found these and ordered. I literally opened the box and was like YESSSSS.... these are exactly what I was looking for!! I threw them in the washing machine, and they washed up great. I am very happy! 5These are the best!I have a hard time finding kitchen hand towels that I like. I'm picky, I want it soft and absorbent at the same time, is that too much to ask? These meet the criteria! They are both soft (not SUUUPER soft, but still soft) Very absorbent! which is huge for me, because I feel like most are lacking in that area, I fully intend on buying another set!
