    Quality lightFor years I've been contemplating different methods of illuminating a dark painting in my dining room and concluded that short of hiring an electrician to install a dedicated wall outlet it was fruitless venture to get this picture appropriately illuminated . Recently I stumbled onto this light on Amazon and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try . I have to say that it exceeded my expectations in both terms of the Aesthetics and functionality. The light is bright enough to transform this dark picture and produces a nice warm even light not unlike some of the hardwired picture lights that I have elsewhere in the home . The picture has a very robust frame so I was able to screw the light right to the back of the frame . Remote control feature is a plus . Overall a good option especially when you don't have access to an outlet nearby. 5You light up my life but you brokeI wrote this review months ago but never submitted it: Perfect to illuminate a special photo on aluminum that we purchased. Love the remote. Very necessary as the light is wireless and quite high on the wall.Unfortunately, the remote broke. When I contacted Concept Lighting, and they heard that I purchased this through Amazon, they didn't give me the time of day. Their disinterest was REALLY alienating. I offered to purchase a new remote or could they repair it, but they couldn't get off the phone fast enough. Sooooo I called Amazon and after getting a supervisor to OK it, they are sending me a new lamp! I'm thrilled with Amazon but very disappointed with Concept Lighting. 3Decent but not greatThe good: good instructions and easy to install; attractive finish to the fixture; remote works very wellNot so good: You get what you pay for, and this isn't a great art light. There are 4 brightness settings, and (for my purposes) even the most dim is still too bright. (Many other people may not find this a problem.) There are bright spots, and as you might expect, it is less bright lower on the painting. While the fixture itself is attractive, it is not subtle. It is somewhat large in diameter, so it isn't great looking at it from a profile (the side). It could overwhelm the frame.All that said, for the price it is a decent art light, and I should not have expected more than I got. 3Good product....Just what I needed in a dark room with a dark painting. Plenty of soft, white, light, adjustable, dimmable -- remote is sturdy and easy to operate. I put the light together and attached it to the frame of my painting no problem, easy peasy. My painting is 32" by 40" and this size light fixture is perfect. 4ScamTwo main problems: 1. When the lightbulb dies, you have to throw out the whole unit since you cannot replace the bulb, so essentially this is a very expensive disposable item. Our lightbulb only lasted 9 months and we had on the light only once or twice a week. 2. It goes through batteries VERY quickly which becomes very expensive. It's also time consuming to replace the batteries.Avoid this lamp. 1Excellent Lights. Hope they last!!Really nice lights. We have the 11 inch version on an 18 inch piece and the 18 on larger painting. Both are more than ample. The only reason I didn t rate it A 5 is because of the reviews stating the bulb burns out too soon and can t be replaced.Other than that it s awesome. Make sure you have re chargeable batteries tho. This light attached easily to the heavier frame on our artwork with regular C batteries, but I am particularly thankful for the review by cad73 that suggests the purchase of "Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger (with 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries plus 2 C and 2 D spacers" and "Miraclekoo C Size Battery Spacer for Sanyo Eneloop or Other AA Batteries" (in a pack of six). This worthwhile additional purchase will allow for a lighter weight overall and longer periods of illumination ...Having searched so long for such a light means that I can relate to another reviewer's comment, "This light just made my day"!!My sentiments exactly! 5Worth The MoneyBought this after reading other reviews of the product, and the reviewers were absolutely accurate. I decided to use AA Eneloop batteries to lighten the weight of the light, as suggested, and bought the "Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger (with 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries plus 2 C and 2 D spacers)." That gave me all the batteries needed for the light and the remote. Then I bought the "Miraclekoo C Size Battery Spacer for Sanyo Eneloop or Other AA Batteries" in a pack of six, and had all the spacers necessary for the light. This works very well and I am delighted with the performance of the light. While the info on the light says it can be attached to the picture or the wall, the picture frame would have to pretty substantial to accommodate the weight of the light even with the Eneloops, but everything about the product is as it says it is. 5Good for larger picturesA bit pricey but definitely the one to buy for larger works of art. A lot better than the flimsy rite lights and a lot cheaper than the fancy ones. Looks great on the wall and illuminates well. Only drawback is the number of C batteries. Used AA enerloops with C adapters and can now leave the light on inthe evening without worrying about costly C's. 5Fantastic!This light just made my day. Muted antique brass color. Feels solid and well made. Able to telescope the depth of the arm as well as slightly rotate the lamp down to better illuminate my picture. I attached the light directly to the back of my solid wood frame with the enclosed wood screw. The remote with dimmer works beautifully. The LEDs don't flicker when dimmed!! :D My absolute favorite tip was from an Amazoner who suggested replacing the eight C batteries with the eneloop C to rechargeable AA adapters. Brilliant! The end result was less weight and expense. I couldn't be happier. 5
