    Use as directedI use these but can't really confirm how effective they are. I use the tablets to remove chlorine from my tap water in my brew operations. I use 1/2 tablet crushed for 8 gallons of water. I have no way to measure any remaining chlorine after treatment. 4works like a charmPerfect for our use; fermented juices 5Great for making CiderI used these along with Potassium Sorbate to stop yeast from eating the additional sugar i add to backsweeten my hard cider i brew. I've done a couple batches and it works great! 5Love them.I use them at all stages. To clean and sanitize my equiptment before, during and after. To sanatize the must and during stabliazion. I also use them at times when racking If I feel to much air may have gotten into the batch. I have had success everytime with them. Many of the pills were crushed into dust so had to use my scale to measure them out which was not that big of a deal and they need to be crushed anyways. Could have come in resealable packaging but I put them into a mini tupperware anyways after opening. Great for sterilizing and brewing. humidity will soften and smoosh this product 5IMPORTANTJust an FYI, this is sodium metabisulfite, not potassium metabisulfite. This type of Camden is used for cleaning, not to put in your alcohol. Your booze is going to taste really salty if you put too much of this in. You need to be buying potassium metabisulfite for brewing or wine-making. 5Easy to use tabletsThese pre measured 1g tablets are perfect for 1 gallon home brews. It works in wine and cider. This keeps your alcohol from getting oxidized during racking by adding a protective layer of SO2. It also works to kill natural yeast if using fresh fruit. It doesn't kill or sanitize, what it does is suppresses the organisms to the point where the yeast you will add will take over and push everything out. I like to crush these tablets in a bowl before dissolving it in water and adding to the alcohol. 5Good product, but could have been packaged betterCame as described. Some were crushed in transport therefore one star was removed from my otherwise 5-star review. Make sure you are ordering the correct campden tablets for what you are doing. If you are making wine, either potassium metabisulfite or sodium metabisulfite will work, but using the sodium based version sodium adds unnecessary salts to your diet and is also said to result in an off-tasting wine. 4
