Good quality, doesn't line solid headboardWe bought a crib liner for two reasons... one, the baby keeps managing to stick his legs out between the slats and we're afraid he'll hurt himself. Two, he has a bad habit of knocking his head against the solid headboard and we wanted to cushion it a bit.For the first reason, the bumper works great. The second not so much. I bought this because it said it works for solid back cribs, but that is kind of misleading. If you have a solid headboard, this crib liner will not line that side at all. It still fits the front and sides.It is good quality, and attaches securely with Velcro and some ties to the slats. The fabric is breathable, the pattern is cute, but my baby still bangs his head on the headboard. We're still keeping the bumper for reason #1, and hopefully he'll just grow out of #2 since we're not willing to put any pillows or blankets in there.Edit: Decided to return the bumper, because within a week the baby has learned how to throw his legs over the top and stick them out the slats anyway. Because of that it sags, making it not useful, and the ties won't keep it up. Having this on the crib also makes it much more difficult to change the crib sheets. 3Works great with Babyletto cribI have done a lot of research on crib bumpers as i wasnt certain which one to get. This one caught my attention and after reading hundreds of positive reviews on mesh bumpers and how amazing and breathable they are I decided to give it a try. I have to agree with the previous review about how thick and breathable this crib bumper is. The print is very entertaining and just looks very cute. And most importantly once i put the bumper on a crib i never had to readjust. It just stays on place. My 4 months old can spend pretty good amount of time in the crib just looking at the animal prints around him. It also works very well with my Babyletto crib. I would definitely recommend this product over the regular padded crib bumpers. 5Pretty, but not functional enough.Very cute. Unfortunately, it isn't all that beneficial. Since it's a thin mesh it tends to fall down below the mattress. Even if it didn't do that it still isn't tall enough to keep an active baby from kicking their legs from above the mesh. So really it's only beneficial when baby is small or simply as something pretty for them to look at. 3Highly recommend!We couldn t be happier with this liner. We didn t transition our daughter to her crib from her halo bassinest until after 6 months. Once we did, she seemed to get a hand or foot between the slats often. Our nursery has gray walls, a white crib, and pink accents so I ordered this hoping for a pleasant match. Sometimes the colors in these online products can be off putting when you see it in person. Not the case here! It is a perfect match. The gray is a beautiful true gray, the pink is soft and beautiful, and the white is perfect. This also isn t an old school bumper that you just tie off to the slats. It s a two piece bumper. You place the longer piece against the back of the crib and follow the directions to thread through in certain places then secure with very strong Velcro and finish off with ties. The second piece is shorter and goes along the front in a similar fashion. It leaves no gaps and my little one hasn t had any more slips between the slats. I was a little intimidated when I originally removed it from the package because their were no directions included but the company directs you to their website where there is a great video tutorial (which is a big plus for mommy brain!). I ve washed the liner once and it held up great. We use it with the Graco Rory convertible crib and it s a perfect fit. I don t worry that my daughter will step on the liner and use it as leverage to step out of the crib. The liner slides down from the top if she tries to step on it but it still maintains a barrier from allowing her feet and hands to slide out. She likes to pull it down a little bit to peak out when she should be sleeping! She also loves the animals printed around bumper. They are beautiful and friendly looking and she loves laying in bed and cooing to the animals! We have a 5 month old who sticks his arms and legs through the crib posts, getting caught in the process and waking up crying. One night, at 2 a.m., he woke up scared and stuck in the rails. I comforted him, then quickly scanned the meshed crib bumpers on amazon.com and took a chance on this one. I anxiously awaited it s arrival, and received it quickly. The bumper is colorful on baby s side, with little jungle animals on it, and neutral on the outside. It s nice and tight, and it stays up, even if you push down on it. It will be easy to remove for cleaning, and it looks excellent against his gray crib. Baby is sleeping better, and so am I! 5Use with cautionHow I rate: 1 star-don't like at all, 2 stars-it's ok (meh), 3 stars-impressed (I like it), 4 stars-pretty darn good (I love this), 5 stars-wow (indispensable in my life)Since our baby started getting her arms and legs stuck between the crib railings at about 6 months (and painfully wailing for help) when she started rolling over, we decided to get crib guards. But which one? After some reading and research we decided to get these breathable mesh ones with the safari print. It came well packaged and is well made. The safari print was adorable, and it washed well. There are ties located intermittently throughout the mesh guard that allows it to be tied to the railings. The ends have sturdy Velcro straps that makes securing it to the crib railings a breeze.But more importantly did it solve our problem? No. It probably made matters worse. How so? After a few incidents of getting her arms and /or legs wedged between the crib railings (without the mesh guard), our baby figured out how to pull her arms and/or legs out on her own if it was just stuck up to her elbow or knees. It was when she would roll too quickly or get too excited when seeing us that her legs would get through the railing past her thighs or an arm or two would go through up to her shoulders and she would get really wedged in between the railings. With the mesh guard a simple wrist or foot going over the guard and through the railings became a tangled tearful ordeal. She would jerk and pull and try to free herself, but the mesh guard definitely made it difficult if not almost impossible for her to wiggle her little hands and feet free. She was also very flustered and upset she could no longer see us just by glancing up through the railings. So she would cry and pull down on the mesh guard- the whole thing looked like a hazardous mess. So while the product itself was well made and a fairly good concept, the actual usefulness was very poor-dangerous almost. Our experience only validates what the American Pediatric Association expresses about the use of crib bumper guards-they are dangerous and not worth it. 2Deceptive nameI expected this to be mesh, like the material on the side of a pack and play. However, it was a thin material with light padding. I was purchasing these because I thought they would be safe if the baby rolled her face into them, assuming she would be able to breathe through the mesh. Not so. 1Helps a little, but arms get stuck when rolling overI'm a little confused that few of the reviewers are having the same problem as us -- our 5 month old son rolls over onto his tummy and gets his hand stuck down between the bottom edge of this bumper and the mattress. We have the bottom edge overlapping the mattress by an inch or so, as in the pictures, and we put it on nice and taught. He gets stuck and starts crying several times each time we put him down -- exactly what this bumper is supposed to prevent. I'm thinking of buying some strong velcro and trying to secure the bottom edge of the bumper to the mattress sheets so that his arm can't get in between, but not sure how well velcro will hold when laundering the sheets so that might not work. I'm surprised though that this product needs a hack based on the reviews... am I missing something? Any tips? I'm still giving it three stars as I think it does prevent some limbs from being stuck, some of the time (i.e. when limbs are approaching straight on). Going to get a different one. 1Peace of mind!Exactly what I needed for peace of mind! Baby started getting his leg stuck in the crib rails but I was deathly afraid of bumpers. Well fear no more mama, these liners are totally breathable! And I thought I'd be able to install without watching any videos- WRONG. Just go to their website and watch the 3 minute video and installation will be a breeze. Also, you can still change the seats without having to touch the bumpers which is a blessing! Others have said that there's not padding... well this is true but padding wasn't my concern. Safety was my concern and now my child wont get stuck or smothered in his crib. 5
