The most functionally designed paper towels everThese are the best. Whoever designed the tear a square concept - I hope they got a giant bonus. We are able to slow down our paper towel use so much because the little squares are somehow the perfect size for everything! Need to dry your hands? Clean up a small spill? Wipe off the dog's face after he found the garden mulch again? One little absorbent square will often do the job.I know I pay extra for the squares, and probably extra on top of that to get them delivered through Amazon, but these are worth it.Just know it's a giant amount of paper towels. I didn't realize till we got our first shipment exactly how many was in the order. We had to find places to hide all the spare rolls for a few months. 5They're goodThey're fine -- they're paper towels. They do what they're supposed to do. On the scale of paper towels they are as follows:$0.79 Walmart Paper Towels - Off-brand that mimics good paper towels - Brawny - BountySo now you know. Bounty is probably a little better, but barely. And Bounty doesn't have these 4 square tear-aways. So you have to decide for yourself if you want to be able to tear these into 4 squares, or if you want barely-better paper towels. 5Subscribe and Save keeps changing my products or raising the pricesThis is not the original product for which I subscribed. They switched out a larger size for a smaller size. Subscribe and Save is suppose to be a convenience, but if they keep switching my products for ones that give less value and raise the prices I won't be using the service any more. I can't go on and continuously check to see if they are switching my products or raising the prices. It seems like a scam. 1Thought I'd like the four square perforationFirst time trying Brawny. Not to say it's bad but not particularly impressed and will go back to Bounty since I can find it on sale for cheaper and seems to work a bit better. I thought I would like the four square perforation because I rip the Select-a-size sheets in half all the time, but I found that it was really rare for me to need just a quarter of a paper towel and it was more annoying than anything when the perforation ripped in half when I didn't want it to. 4LOVE the Quarter Size SheetWe have used the Brawny Select A Size for a couple years. I like the ability to use full or half size sheets. So when I saw that we are now getting the quarter size option, I thought that maybe I would use it occasionally. Boy, was I wrong. Who knew how often the quarter size would get used - apparently the answer is lots and lots of times. My teenage kids use 1 quarter sheet to put a sandwich on and the other quarter they use as a napkin. I guess there s no reason they couldn t have done this with the unperforated half sheet and just torn it in half but they just used 2 half sheets then instead of 2 quarter sheets now. I know it sounds kind of dumb, but we do eat a lot of sandwiches my house and this has really made a difference in reducing our paper towel usage. I definitely recommend this item - you might be surprised how frequently the quarter sheet option is used. 5Drastic loss of absorbency from a previous brand!Adding this to my Subscribe and Save order was a way to save a few dollars. Turns out I am going to be spending more as these towels are in no way as absorbent as my old national brand. The amount of towels I use for the same jobs are simply amazing to me! I just went into my subscribe and save, cancelled the order, and reordered my old brand. I am not giving the name of my old and brand that I have switched back to as I do not think it's allowed in reviews. Let's just say that with my old towels I would have to edit my order as I did not use all of the product prior to the next delivery. In this case it is possible I will have to order a few rolls to tide me over to my subscribe and save order in October. I did not realize how fast these went until today, too late for a Sept delivery.The only PRO comment I can make is the size option, I like I can just tear a corner size to put in a coaster or under a hot coffee cup. The CONS are plural - not absorbent as even lower priced paper towels, they do not have the ability to rinse and reuse, they fall apart. Window and glass cleaning is a problem, there are too many small pieces break off while cleaning and lint like residue left behind.An example of the lack of absorbency is my bird cage. With my old paper towel I could use 1 layer to absorb waste and water , these take 3 layers and I still get leakage to the liners.I also use another paper towel, a bit more expensive, for it softness and weight. Even that paper towel that I use for purposes like cleaning dog ears, eyes, etc. for the softness of the product is much more absorbent than this paper towel. I regret the urge to save a few dollars when ultimently it is going to cost me much more. First by having to use so many more for each chore, and I now have to buy paper towels much earlier than expected, costing me almost twice of what the paper towel originally did. 2These are Awesome!!!These cut into the smaller squares just fine! I'm not sure why other users had issues. The fact that these can be split into 3 sizes really helps them go a long way. I've been trying to be better about using less paper towels for environmental and cost reasons, and these help to do that (I will use once, and if salvageable I'll cut them in the 2 small squares and reuse them). These paper towels are really great quality and durable even when wet and don't leave behind lint/dust compared to other brands (e.g., Sparkle, etc.). The only thing is that I wish they were a better price point/cheaper. 5Tear a square is amazing!I ordered these simply because they were the cheapest ones I could get at the time. I didn't even know about the tear a square option. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I regular would try to tear my paper towels in half to clean something very small or if i was just eating a snack and now it's so easy and cute and fun! In then future, I will continue to order the cheapest paper towels on Amazon, so it's likely that I will have to sacrifice the tear a square option... but I will miss it and think of it often. 5Very pleased! Brawny has been on of my top brands ...Very pleased! Brawny has been on of my top brands for years now. This was my first time trying the Tear a Square and I was pleasantly pleased! I have found our family uses the quarter sheets more often which saves us money. They tear apart easily but not so easily that you have to be careful pulling it off the roll. One of my new favorite products. 5Good quality, 3 sizes not really usefulI have been using these paper towels for a month. These are the replacement option for the Bounty select-a-size towels I used to get as a monthly subscription. The quality of the towel is comparable. The jury is still out on the 3 size towel option. Realistically, it is difficult to tear the towel into the small square, unless you remove a one-half size sheet first. So, getting the 1/4 sheet takes two steps. I haven't really found a use for such a small sized piece. 4
