    Effective but not greatI've used 400 of these flags so far to mark where I have planted acorns. The acorns and flags were planted in an open field in the Pacific Northwest on Sep 14th . Six weeks later, all of the flags have faded significantly, but they are still easy enough to see so they're still effective. The flags have come loose from about 5% of the wires. About 2% were loose right out of the box and the remainder have come loose since we placed them in the ground. The pic above shows the flags the same day they were placed. I'll take and post another pic as soon as I can.3Bon Marking Flags are easy to findThese were the least costly flags I could find and were recommended by a colleague. They were selected as crop markers with flags that are bright, do not fade when placed out of doors in direct sun for 1 month, and the steel wire posts are tall and strong. I recommend the 1000-pack because it is economical.5
