    Does the jobAs an electrical engineer, I'm very anal about my wiring. This ground bus makes me happy. I used this in an automotive application for installing emergency vehicle lights. I was able to fit this underneath the kick panel and ground multiple lights on the interior with no problem. I also installed one in the engine compartment for grounding exterior lights. All has worked well so far, and I'm much more confident these individual grounds will stay secure than I would be if I just put them all on one screw. Resolving electrical issues to bad grounds can take a lot of time. Do it right the first time. 5Excellent for cleaning up your battery well. Have some #10 washers on standbyThis review is for the Blue Sea Systems 4 terminal bus bar with plastic cover. The product is sturdily made and the plastic cover fits snuggly over the nut on each end. This is important to note because if the end-nuts are screwed down at markedly different measures the cover will not fit as well. Would be good to have a red AND black, but I was only able to find black. So I used black on each side. One important note: if you re using 3/8 lugs / ring terminals, you ll need to add a stainless #10 or similar washer. 5Good QualityVery good quality. My only negative comment is that I would have liked the protective cover to have covered the terminals a little more completely. As is a metal object or a carelessly placed screwdriver can slip underneath and short the terminals. 5Well built and well designedWe purchased this unit, and several others, with covers to straighten up the wiring in our RV and better incorporate our solar charging electrical system.Blue Sea Systems build a wide variety of electrical components for Marine and RV. Every piece I have purchased has been well designed and well built. No more 'off-shore' components for me. I trust what these folks build to keep us safe. 5Looks great under the hood!I used these for ground points on my truck under the hood. I made a large gauge jumper from the main body ground to the side post then pull any new ground needed off the screw points. Cover adds a nice finished touch although totally unnecessary for grounds. Well built as all Blue Sea products I've used. 5Great bus bar!The BlueSea 20 screw unit (ASIN B000K2NZ3C) is a excellent bus bar. Unlike many the 1/4" studs are held captive from behind, allowing 1 nut on top to secure the ring lug directly to the bus bar, not between another steel nut (steel is a poor conductor). Combined with the thick 1/8" actual copper bar with tin plate, the resistance from end-to-end was less than I can probably measure with a 4-wire ohm measurement (0.1milliohm), unlike another I tried that was 9x greater. I especially like the captive star washers on the screws - the other unit I tried the washers either got lost, or kept getting between the lug and the bar.Now to find a source for good #8 ring lugs. 5SolidWorked great with my solar system 5Good for marine wiringAll stainless metal, the plastic part is sturdy. I used it on my boat wiring project. It is a nice way to centralize grounds. Do not ever use a body ground on a boat, they will cause you issues. All your grounds need to get to the battery. This allows you to run 1 ground to your battery rather than having a bunch of wires going there. 5Ground BussMy project required me to mount this against a flat surface, thus you would think you could use only one side of the buss. This item allows you to use both rows of the buss from one side. I used another buss as I was desperate for a buss and found another buss was made in a smaller foot print not easily allowing me to shift wires to one side thus it was a crowded buss. I must remove 2 wires to service one circuit. This item does not crowd your wires and allows servicing without having to remove 2 wires to get to one. 5Very sturdy busbarI bought this to connect the negative parallel cables from my solar battery bank. I've been hoping to get a busbar with 5 posts but no such luck. I thought this was 3/8" when I ordered it but it turned out to be 5/16". However since I had to make up battery cables I just bought 5/16" end lugs and put that on the cable instead. The cable from the mini disconnect has a 3/8" lug but this didn't prove to be a problem because the nut makes good contact with the end, but I will update once I get a good sunny day (been having cloudy days and rain). This was a lot cheaper than the quote from the solar company for a 17" busbar with no posts! 4
