Customer Reviews

For the price I'd buy another.Nice flame, easy to fill and light. Controls are kinda cool but i havent had any need to use anything other than the blowtorch style flame. Base easily breaks. Doesn't hold a lot of fuel.TL;DRBuy it for the price, but if you have some extra cash get something better.3Excellent torch for working glass if you can't afford something ...Excellent torch for working glass if you can't afford something or have room for something bigger. I wondered if it would be hot enough to melt the glass piece together being so small but it did a great job. It burned for quite a long time on one fill too. Very pleased with this and will be ordering at least one or two more!5Nice TorchGood torch for the price the valve could be a little better ( a little touchy )but works great other then that would recommend.4A quality lighter at a fair price !I've owned Blazer butane lighters for many years. Mostly the little mini model since I can put it in my pocket. But the price keeps climbing so I bought this one. Not so portable but works just fine.5I had problems getring it to self ignite after the ...I had problems getring it to self ignite after the first day. I now know to turn the knob for the gas to the 10 o'clock position and the air control to the halfway point and it lights every time.3I really dislike this torch I really dislike this torch. It doesn't fill well; even though I pump the fuel into it like the directions say, I lose more fuel than I get in there. It is hard to get it lit, and if I turn it down even a tiny bit, it goes out. I'd have better results with a butane lighter. 1Very good for wood incenseI've been using a standard butane candle lighter to get my palo santo incense smoking, but it sometimes takes a long time and doesn't last long. With this torch, it lights up right away and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm also using Vector butane which is highly refined (available on Amazon), rather than Ronson brand which most supermarkets carry. Initially it wouldn't light, though I could hear the gas. I had to spin back the air control knob so it was close to the tank instead of away from it, and then it lit immediately with a long blue flame.5Five Stars THANK YOU 5Wonderful butane torch for simple jewelry making.Wonderful butane torch. Hot enough for soldering copper, silver and gold. Hot enough to ball copper (haven t tried the others). Easy to operate. Significantly hotter than a creme brulee torch. Haven t tried annealing with it yet. (Fortunately, if it doesn t work, DH has a mapp gas torch.)5Works great! Excellent quality!Excellent buy! I had a much smaller one from China, but it broke and it was flimsy. This one is sturdy and seems like it will be dependable and last a long time. The Reviews on Amazon helped me decide, and as long as it was less expensive, I went ahead and purchased,5Quality seems to be decliningI use it as a cigar lighter. 1st one was still working perfectly every strike at 3 years when it was stolen off the front porch. 2nd one worked perfectly every strike but only lasted about year and a half when it stopped lighting. 3rd one igniter stopped after one light and amazon replaced. On the 4th one now which is working but lights inconsistently. (5+4+1+3)/4=3.25 so 3 stars.3Great unit for small jobs! This little unit is just what I needed. It has worked perfectly for me, for a few months now. Qith almost daily use!A bit more i fo, for those who need it!Before I bought this I had no clue what I needed, or if this would do the job! I previously had one that fit on top of a propane canister. Which has a bigger flame. This is what I learned.Pretty much, they will all burn hot enough for soldering, annealing, and flame patina. But the size of the flame determines how big a piece you can successfully work on. This is not the smallest torch I have seen. But it is on the small side. However! I make wire wrapped jewelry. And also make ball hair pins. I could ball up to 18 gauge, with no problem! It took a little practice to do 16 gauge. But with proper technique, it can be done! Main effort is to get the whole piece heated up, in order to raise the temp qhere you need it to melt. I doubt you could do any gauge thicker than 16.I highly recommend this to anyone who works on small pieces. Say pendants and such.5
