    This product is horrible..This product is horrible ....auto shut off didn't work from day one. Thought no problem can live with that. These were Xmas gifts to family that lives 100 miles away from me. Heat worked sporadically & never reach each a very warm level even on highest setting -according to recipient. Thought it was not economical to have recipient mail to me for return to Amazon. I was visiting last week & brought both pads home to return. Alas.. Return time frame has expired. I basically just threw $120 away for this purchase. Guess it pays to shop in a real store. Very few gave a 30 day return policy. Especially if nonfunctional. Boo to Amazon. 1These things are the bestThese things are the best. I couldn't maintain a temperature in the house that would make everyone happy during the winter. My wife freezes while I walk around in shorts and bare feet cursing how hot she keeps it. At least with these, I can lower the thermostats at night so I can sleep while my wife heats up her side of the bed to her desired temp. In the king version, it has separate controllers for each side. We have full size beds in the other four bedrooms, and each room now is equipped with one of these so that everyone can adjust their bed to the temp that suits them best. Full size only has one controller for the whole bed. They also turn off automatically after 8 hours, which is a good thing since my kids never remember to turn them off in the morning. 5Debilitating ComfortSo last year at the beginning of the cold season, I purchased one of these. I've never felt so cozy. I tend to suffer poor circulation to my feet and they usually remain cold much longer than the rest of me once I am buried under my blankets. My feet have been toasty warm in bed ever since. Now after a week of having this amazing contraption (which still works beautifully, and machine washable darling), I convinced my sister to get one for herself as well. Now, she prefers her upper body to be warmer than the rest of her and after reading some of the other reviews she decided to put it on with the bottom at the top. She plugged it in, put her sheets and blankest on, flipped it on, twirled it to high, got into bed, and promptly fell asleep while in the middle of trying to plug her phone in. Once or twice during the night, she managed to fight her way out of the all encompassing warmth that was now her bed, but each time she only managed to start reaching for her phone plug before being dragged back under. She finally woke up in the morning with a dead phone and a strong disinclination to get out of bed despite the "Mommy! It's wake up time!" So in conclusion, thank you biddeford and amazon for incapacitating us in the wintertime. 5It works.It's a little deceptive, in that it doesn't feel like it gets hot, but with the blankets on me, I feel very comfortable. I've only turned it up to 4 (out of 10) so far, but it keeps me warm. Yea, warm but not hot.The two minor complaints I have are that the plugs at the foot of the bed are uncomfortable when my feet rub up against the corners of them.Which brings me to my second complaint: why aren't those plugs on the part that wraps down instead of the top? Then they wouldn't be in the way no matter how tall someone is.And why can't they be at the head of the bed so you don't have to run cords under your bed or mattress? That only makes sense for a heated blanket, not a mattress pad. 4DisappointedI bought two of these heated mattress pads. So far. Both failed on one side of the bed.This mattress pad also has an annoying plastc disk (where I assume Tj electrical comes in) which hurts your foot if you hit it during the night.I purchased another matress pad to cover that. That solved that proble.. 1Is it safe like this?I was putting this on the bed and noticed the connector was not together (see photo). Is it safe like this? 1Lumpy but worksThis is a less costly solution to freezing and the quality shows that price tag. It does fit over a queen mattress but tends to lump up and need smoothing down. The cords can be felt through the material which might drive some people crazy. The controls are old school analog without a timer that might turn some people off. Personally I prefer not having a timer so I can heat up prior to bed and go to bed in a warm bed that does not turn frozen later. It works for me, but can see how it's not going to do the job for everyone else. 3It's OKIt works. It gets warm. And it's made to fit a very thick mattress. So for that I give it three stars. I took away 2 stars because the placement of the heating connection on the matress pad is in a bad place and is larger than on other mattress warmers I own.I don't like hitting my foot on it. I find it very uncomfortable. Also, it doesn't seem to get warm at my feet.It was not one of the more expensive mattress warmers and I was buying it to uses in my RV. So that's where it will stay. I would never purchase this for my everyday home use. 3I can"t Top This!So i was just talking with my BFF....and well is is getting quite cold here in pa.....so i said " ohhh you can put your heated cover on again that i bought for you for x-mas last year!" she has informed me that this cover has been on her bed since and not removed as she uses it also for a heating pad after a long day at work... To my surprise I'm like oh wow! almost a year of use every night and it still works!!!! Now how can i do any better then that on this years gift! I gave a gift that keeps on giving comfort! Highly recommended! 5Stopped working after a month or soUPDATE: I never received a refund. They said to send back the unit and they would replace with another - but i didn t trust the same thing would happen. They said that don t offer refunds, but do offer replacements. I turned them down and ate the loss because I decided to get a heated blanket instead.Ordered this as a Christmas gift for my partner as she is always chilled in winter when going to bed. Not even 2 months later one side (we have a queen size with split temp settings) has stopped working. Very disappointed in this product. I would not recommend. Would like to get a refund so I can purchase a different one. But who knows if that will happen. 1
