    Shoddy productI am very disappointed with this shoddy product. In addition to rough paint, someone wrapped a four inch sticker around the part of the stick that is held by the hand. Because this is a Christmas present, I spent a great deal of time trying to pick the sticker and adhesive off the wood. Where I was successful in removing the sticker, a thick layer of adhesive remains. 1Love this pancake turnerI use a round Lefse grill to make blueberry pancakes regularly and ordered this turning stick out of curiosity. I did not think I would ever use it but I tried it on a large blueberry pancake, first using it to loosen the edge completely around the pancake and then to slip under it to turn.It worked perfectly. In fact, most of my pancakes are smaller and I use a spatula but the last one is Large just so I can use this turning stick.It appears that it would be too thick to slide under a pancake but no problem at all. Just have to find the center of gravity of the pancake to make a smooth turn. One of my favorite tools to use. 5It's okI wish it came with a finishing coat. It is just plain wood. I didn't get the one from the picture, instead I got one with a red handle (which is fine) but the rest of the stick doesn't have any finish on it so it's just bare wood. I hope it doesn't splinter on to the food 3Packaged brokenIt arrived broken! And the other piece isn t even in the sealed packaging meaning it was placed in there broken and sealed that way! It is December 20th and my Norwegian fianc isn t getting his new lefse turner. 1Waste of $ unless shipping is improvedI ordered two, shipped to my out of state brother, so his wife and I could make lefse over memorial day weekend. They were shipped in an envelope, not a box. One arrived broken in half and the other had a big nick in it. Neither was usable. Definitely hampered our lefse-making. I wasn't there long enough to return them, reorder, or give the lefse making a second shot, so it was a complete waste of money for me. Not impressed. 1Must have for lefseThis is a must have for lefse making. If you area traditionalist and use a real potatoes, a ricer and a griddle, then you know you need a good turning stick. This was reasonably priced, well packaged and shipped quickly. It even looks nice enough to hang on the wall next to your over sized spoon and fork. 5... that item was made in China for a Norwegian favorite..Hard to remove sticker indicates that item was made in China for a Norwegian favorite...sign of the times, I guess. Paint on handle smeared down on the blade on both sides of stick. Item arrived in packing envelope too small for the stick so it was inserted diagonally and arrived sticking through and partially exposed.
