Description

  • H2o Labs rated as the BEST OVERALL Water Distiller in its class. Rigorously tested and evaluated for dependability, ease of operation and maintenance, design, functionality, quality, economy, warranty, technical and customer support and customer satisfaction. (Visit www.H2oLabs.com for comparisons to other brands.)
  • Now with H2o Labs EXCLUSIVE Activated Carbon Pods that last twice as long and contain 3 TIMES the filtering media, specifically designed to provide the purest water and the most effective VOC removal of any similar distiller. Full year supply, (6-Pack) included with your order.
  • The entire steam chamber, (bottom, sides and dome), and the full length of the condensing coil is 100% Stainless Steel, Grade 304, (also known as 18/8), the most widely used and versatile of all the stainless grades. All plastics used are Food-Safe and BPA-Free. This model also has an innovative Porcelain Nozzle Insert so pure water doesn't touch plastic or metal.
  • Optimal size 565 Watt heating element. Bigger is NOT better. Some brands use a bigger heating element so they can claim their distiller makes water faster. But larger heating elements, (which cost no more than smaller elements), can boil water too rapidly causing it to mix with VOCs and other contaminates which reduce the purity of the water. (Some brands use an ineffective "splash shield" in a futile attempt to prevent contamination.)
  • Everything you need to begin making the PUREST water ever is included!. Along with your water distiller you'll receive the "Easy Lift" glass carafe, a large jar of non-toxic Cleaning Crystals in case it's needed for hard water scale, and a year's supply of H2o Labs Exclusive Activated Carbon Pods. You also receive the most complete, useful and easy-to-understand instruction manual in the industry.

Customer Reviews

You only be certain it's distilled when you distill it yourselfWe thought we'd found a reliable source for bottled distilled at a local supermarket. Then we started using that store-bought distilled water in our humidifier and discovered it was covering everything around it in a coat of white film -- regardless of the label, the store-bought water wasn't entirely distilled after all! A friend from work had already been using an H2OLabs distiller for several months and highly recommended we get the same model. Based on her experience with it and the countless hours of our own research, it became obvious this really is the best on the market for the price. We ordered it thru Amazon and it arrived within two days. And yes, it's absolutely fantastic! Super easy to clean, easy to fill, and produces a whopping gallon of pure water with each cycle. We're very pleased with this purchase. 5Easy, pure crystal clean waterThis is the top of the line home water distiller, in fact this is my second one. My first one is still running like new after two years and I wanted a second one so I could distill more water at a time. These are very well built and easy to use and maintain. The water is crystal clear and tastes great. I use distilled water for everything and was tired of hauling gallon jugs form the store and this distiller made my life so much easier. Now I can have and endless supply of distilled water at my fingertips whenever I want it. It takes about five hours to produce a gallon using hot water and runs quietly. To clean it I add a little white vinegar after each batch and let it sit for a few minutes and then gently scrub it out with a scotch bite pad and rinse it out and I m ready for my next batch. Easy peasy. If your looking for crystal clear pure water, look no further this is the distiller for you. Trust me your body will thank you. Note: I do add minerals after distilling for drinking water. 5A Highly-Recommended Investment in Your Family's HealthHigh quality and produces great-tasting water. Leaving behind substances I didn't expect! We have a whole-home water filtration system which removes minerals from our water source. I know that some stuff (like chlorine and fluoride) will get past it, so I bought the distiller in hopes of eliminating those from our drinking water. I have been pleasantly surprised to see there is a residue and odor left behind with each batch I distill. I have yet to learn what the substance is, but for now I'm satisfied it's being removed from our drinking water. There's a noticeable difference in the taste and clarity of the water between the distilled and tap. This was unexpected, too, as I thought I might have to convince myself that the water is better. But the first time I poured the distilled water I could see how much clearer it was and a frequent house guest volunteered the same commentary. The water also tastes really good, so my family is naturally drinking more of it.The combination of the distiller and carafe is bulky for the kitchen in our 1970s split-level home, so we moved it to a sun porch and close the door while it's running. While the distiller isn't obnoxiously loud while running it's similar to hearing a box fan on low power. This has the potential to get on your nerves, so I recommend following the manufacturer's advice and either running this during sleep or running it in a closed-off room. One bit of warning is this is an investment of time over taking water from the tap. You need to fill up the carafe, wait several hours for a gallon of water, and wipe down the distiller or clean it after use. It's taken us a few weeks to get into the flow of a manageable schedule.I was cleaning the distiller with soap and water or distilled white vinegar after each use, but that was starting to get to the point where the work to maintain the unit was outweighing the value of the water. So what I've landed on for now is I'll wipe down the inside of the unit after each use (takes 10 seconds) and I'll running a cleaning cycle and install a fresh activated carbon pod once per month. I think that should be manageable. We're also still sorting out water storage. It's not recommended (by me) that you spend time and electricity distilling water and then put it in a plastic container, where chemicals can leach into it. Even BPA-free units can have other chemicals which can make it into the water. We tried a 3-gallon stainless steel fusti with a tap in our fridge but the fusti took up a lot of space and leaked and finding any water dispenser which doesn't have leaking issues is actually a challenge. What we're doing for now is buying a second glass carafe. We'll have one in the fridge, for our drinking water needs, and another at the distiller, ready to collect distilled water. While the unit is not inexpensive and takes a little getting used to, to work into your life, I recommend keeping in mind this is an investment in your health. We're getting great value out of it in terms of removing junk from the water and encouraging our family members to drink more great-tasting water instead of packaged drinks. My parens regularly buy gallons of distilled water. We worked out that if they bought a distiller it would pay for itself - in the money saved over buying those gallons - in about six months. And the water from the distiller is not stored in plastic jugs, which can leach chemicals.I highly recommend this product. It's a great investment. 5Best water distiller I have usedI've only had one other distiller - the plastic model 200 version from the same company. While I liked my model 200, it is not nearly as easy to clean as this one, even though the 200 touts easy cleaning as it's primary feature. If you're on the fence between one of the plastic easy cleans, and one of these, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money now. Distillers are obviously going to be used daily, and that daily use adds up. I got 18 months out of my 200 before I had to upgrade to this one (the constant heat warped some parts and gases started escaping inside the unit which caused buildup of scale on the internal parts.)As for how this unit functions and what I think of it:It's very good quality. The stainless steel should last pretty much forever and the glass carafe is solid too.Cleaning and refilling it only takes me about 2-3 minutes now. Once in awhile you should deep clean it, but even that is a breeze with the included cleaner and instruction. It looks much nicer on my counter than a cheaper product would.I've talked to support at h20labs a couple of times over the last two years. They are always very quick to respond and extremely friendly and helpful. 5Full Steam Ahead!Works just like advertized. We have really hard water so there is no way around the labor intensive cleaning process to keep the unit at max production. I don't know what the manufacturer can do to help out here, except to create some super expensive unit that self scrups the mineral deposits after each use. We use al least one gallon a day. 5It is very easy to use and cleanWe are using our distiller A LOT!!! It is very easy to use and clean. Being a chemist, I understand this isn't, by the scientific definition, a distiller. But, my husband and I wanted to stop using bottled water and I don't 100% trust the filtered water systems. It is amazing how much solid matter is left in the bottom of the pan, after the water has been evaporated. We add an 1/8th of a teaspoon of celtic sea salt to a 16 oz glass of water, to reminerize the water, and it tastes great. 4Glad i purchased thru Amazon!I chose this distiller because it's the one my friend has & really likes (although i found out later she paid less for hers). It took 7+ cycles to get the water to not smell & be drinkable. Customer service was helpful. I took off a star for the cost & hassle of getting the water to taste drinkable.) But as always Amazon rocks! 4Wow...I was at first skeptical on water distillers vs filters; but after the first use, I can honestly say I m a true believer. Just look at that picture! Absolutely vile! That s just from about 3/4 gallon too. And I live in a fairly non-industrial place in the US (Fargo, ND)! Was an EXTREME pain in the a** to scrub off, so I don t even wanna know what the heck that is. Does anyone want that in your body?? Seriously smelled like concentrated ammonia. If this doesn t put the fear of god into ya, I don t know what will... xPThe engineering design could be improved though, the wire for the fan is just long enough, here s hoping it won t bend the socket later on... 5Don't buy if you want pure waterI ran the distiller through three cycles before trying the water. I was so disappointed. The water tasted awful. I was no different than the nasty water straight from my tap. I sent it back! I didn't know, however, that I would be charged for return shipping, so it was like getting less than a full refund. 1Don't be fooled by the great reviews.Product does not produce 0ppm water like a true water distiller is supposed too. Water still has a metallic taste to it even after continual use. The "Water distiller" is also very inconsistent. Does not produce pure water. The customer service and customer return policy is awful as well. Save your money and get something else. 1
