Waste of moneyI live in Houston, TX.On 9/19/19 my neighborhood got a lot of water from the storm. That piece if garbage I bought was useless it didn't stop the water at all. And to my surprise the watershiled was pushed by the flood water. Complete waste of my money. My garage was flooded and by a miracle I didn't get water in the house.1Be mindful before you buy....It didn't work for our application, but be mindful when you place this down and fill with a ton of water...... So you place this down to keep water away from a garage door or driveway or whatever. Fill it with 100+ gallons of water to inflate. When the rain is over, you have to drain the 100+ gallons out right near where you just didn't want rain water to go. I thought this was the turn of the century invention to our Strom water delima, until I was draining it right into where I didn't want rain water.Also, very heavy once filled, so place correctly before you fill it.1Highly recommend this productThese are great - easy to fill, they stay put & after our winter rains, we've left them outside in the hot Southern California sun for 6 months with no damage. Far, far better than the usual dirty & hard to move sandbags.5Don't seem to last that long..I use mine to hold a tarp down around my pool. I've used them for a number of years now and here's what I've found. They can not be used on an incline very well. The can survive in the winter as well as any other time. They do develop holes. I have no idea why. Again, I use mine all winter long, so it may not be an issue for others. Mine last about 2 years before developing a hole and it can be patched, but if you are trying to keep water out (the original use) you don't want to find out you have a leak in the middle of your flooding problems. They are expensive considering al of the issues I mentioned, but I don't see any better alternatives especially for my use. The water tubes the pool industry sells are horrible.3Holds under pressureThis water sandbag was easy to install and take down. I used it to make a pool at the bottom of a slip and slide. It worked well and didn t pop even though many large adults slid into it.5Did NOT work like a sand bagThis product did not work at ALL. Water ran right underneath it it did NOT stop water. Did NOT work like a sand bag.1Leaks first use Sprung a leak the very first use, will be returning.Rendering useless. 1Worked great during two big stormsDon't fill it completely. I fill mine about a quarter so the surface area is large. Not only is it easier to carry but the water inside acts as a ballast to keep it from floating away. Far better than sandbags, at least for my application. Mine is placed over a concrete walkway slab to prevent hill runoff from entering a side garage door during heavy, heavy rain. Just had the worst storm in years an it worked great.5Hydrabarrier - best purchase everI love this Hydrabarrier! It keeps my patio very dry and its simple to fill and simple to drain, roll up and put away. I've used it many times and think I'll have it for many years. Thank you!!5Could be improvedThis is a great idea which could use a little refining. The hydrabarrie tends to roll if even on a slight incline. If small tubes we placed along the sides that could be inflated with air they would prevent the rolling. I use a garden hose to lay along side it to prevent it from rolling now. Additionally, if another drain plug was installed on the opposit end of the fill tube it would allow for better draining and drying of the tube before it is stored.3Works Great and Lasts! - even through freezing winter!This has been a lifesaver - our back garage was flooding. I started with a few of the absorbing barriers, but they dry out and you throw them away. This one - just fill with water. It made it through our winter with a couple of freezes, and no leaks (just don't fill it too full). It can be turned to create corners that block the flooding water where you need it. I do wish it came in a concrete gray color so it is not so noticeable.5
