Poor sizing/fittingQuite incorrect on sizing, purchased for a queen mattress and this was definitely oversized. I have a tempurpedic bed, and previously purchased a queen mattress protector when I had first received my bed since it wasn t really easy cleaning material. At the time I just went to my local store and of course paid about $50 for a good quality protector. So when I saw this on amazon, with a temperature regulating component, I decided to buy. My husband gets hot at night whilst I m usually cold, so I figured this would be an all time solution! However, it s basically vinyl/plastic, oversized, and due to the lack of correct fitting, its noises when it moves around. I m a bit disappointed. I purchased for protection from spills, and temperature regulating material so the other components were not an issue or deciding factor. If you don t mind the sizing then it s pretty much a full zippered mattress protector. 3Fits my Twin XL mattress comfortably with room to spareFits my Twin XL mattress comfortably with room to spare, length and widthwise, mostly widthwise. My mattress dimensions are 80" x 38" x 9". It is *not* tight. My nose is clearer compared to another mattress, sheets and mattress protector, but who knows how long those other ones have been in use, or how often they are washed.Overall, I am satisfied with this product because it fits my XL Twin mattress even those it is not advertised to fit this size, and my nose is clearer with this product and the following pillow protectors AllerEase Cotton Allergy Protection Pillow Protector, Set of 2 and firm pillows Beautyrest Extra Firm Pillow for Back & Side Sleeper, Two Pack, Standard.If you are looking to start over when it comes to bedding I recommend all these items.And this mattress topper.Soft Sleeper 5.5 Twin XL 2 inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad, Bed TopperAnd mattress cover to go on top of the topper and mattress (which is zippered with the protector)--yes, the mattress cover fits and my sheets fit as well.LinenSpa Plush Microfiber Mattress Pad with Deep Pocket Stretch Skirt, Twin XL 4WARNING! Rubber lining problems!I'm seriously ticked off that the washing instructions don't state "must be zipped closed before washing"! The rubbery inner lining filled up with water and threw my washing machine totally off balance causing MAJOR DAMAGES to the machine and some damage to the wall and floor! The lining also shredded and left sticky pieces inside my washing machine. The washing machine now has a cracked outer drum with major leakage and is too expensive to fix. I had to find the money to get another washing machine, pay to have the machine moved, and fix the damages. I'm passed my refund date on Amazon so I'm calling the company. 1This is a great product. I have a 17 inch pillow-top mattress and this protector is still excessively baggy causing my sheets to constantly come off and annoying movement throughout the night. 3Not waterproof as advertised. Top material is MORE waterproof ...Not waterproof as advertised. Top material is MORE waterproof than side material, but both allow liquid to seep through. 1NOT WATERPROOFUPDATE: After using the cover for less than 2 months my toddler had the inevitable accident - but that's why I have a waterproof mattress cover, right? Well this one was not a BIT waterproof. Well now that I've slept on this one for about a month that's looking like a better deal all the time!This is very secure because it covers the mattress top and bottom and zips up. However, it's VERY oversized and because it's not made out of a stretchy material, all that extra has to be pulled down and generally adds bulk to the bedding.It's not exactly plastic, but it does make noise and it can be hot.We haven't had an accident on it (thankfully) so I can't speak to how waterproof it is, but based on the plastic-y backing I'm betting it IS waterproof. 1Great total mattress protectorThis is exactly as advertised as far as the job it does and quality. The only reason for only 4 stars is the fact that it's for a very thick mattress. Mine is a deep King size but this thing will accommodate a 15"+ mattress for sure. I could fit a mattress topper inside mine and it would still fit on my mattress. I don't remember the product description telling me how deep a mattress it was for but I could be wrong. I would definitely recommend this even if it's just to ensure you keep the warranty for your mattress. Even a stain on the mattress will void the warranty. 4Too hot!This is a zippered cover which is different from my previous cover which just fit over the mattress like a fitted sheet which is much better than a zippered cover. Second, this was on a memory foam mattress and didn't breathe at all. I would wake up all sweaty every night because it was just so hot. Once I took the cover off and slept on my mattress with a sheet, I slept fine without waking up all sweaty. Unfortunately I can no longer return it. I would think twice before buying this cover. 1Fitted sheet issuesI like this protector. It's not at all 'noisy' as a lot of the other ones are and feels like a sheet on the bed. The reason I gave it three stars is because it doesn't stay in place. I did read that it had some allowance for thicker mattresses but I didn't expect so much extra space. I'm used to making my bed and not having to fuss with my fitted sheet until I'm ready to change it but with this protector, I find myself needing to 'make the bed' every other day rather than just fix my top sheet and blanket when I get off in the morning. 3
